    Roll Call

A House select committee revealed Thursday that “multiple” Republican members of Congress had requested pardons from former President Donald Trump after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol — but named only one of them. Legislative Review on Reinsurance Tax

Oppose Nonadmitted Insurance Premium Tax Increase

Included in Governor Tim Walz’s 2022 Tax bill, HF 991 and SF 961, is language in Article V, Section 4 that would increase Directly Procured Nonadmitted Insurance tax to 3% from 2%. The MN Chapter of RIMS opposes this tax and the harmful effects an increase of this size could have on MN businesses throughout the state.
