Budgets Should Reflect Our Priorities, not Radical, Fringe Ideas
No Vouchers in the State Budget
The NH House and Senate will be negotiating a final state budget bill soon. Senate leaders have included the most unaccountable and expansive school voucher program in the country in their version. There has been no financial analysis done and no through vetting of this program and that puts students and taxpayers at risk.
This voucher plan will be funded by statewide property taxpayers with little to no accountability on how these funds can be spent. At a time when some school districts are struggling to fund basic programs with the funds they do have, why would we send money to private and religious schools?
Tell your State Representative that jamming a program like school vouchers into the state budget bill, is wrong for NH students and property taxpayers.
