Urge Florida's Conservative Lawmakers to Engage on Climate Change

The Risk to Florida is Too Great to Ignore

No state is more at risk from climate change than Florida. Hotter weather, heavier rains, stronger hurricanes and rising sea levels are threatening Floridians’ way of life. It is also threatening the state’s economy. Florida’s tourism and agriculture industries are already feeling the effects.

If you are concerned about how climate change is affecting Florida—and the risk it poses to our children's future, your elected officials in Congress need to hear from you.

Conservative lawmakers must be engaged in crafting the solutions, this problem is too important to be ceded to the left. As Ronald Reagan wisely said "...preservation of our environment is not a partisan challenge; it’s common sense."

A little encouragement from you and other fellow conservatives will go a long way towards making it easier for conservative lawmakers to engage constructively and support smart solutions.

There are several smart, market-friendly, and bi-partisan bills designed to reduce the pollution contributing to climate change. One such bill is the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, crafted by President Reagan's Chief of Staff, James Baker, and his Secretary of State, George Schulz.

That bill, if passed, would reduce greenhouse gas pollution by placing a carbon fee on fossil fuels to incentivize other energy sources and spur innovation.  All of the money collected from the fee will fund a dividend back to the American people to spend as they see fit.

Please use the quick and easy interface below to send a letter to your representatives in Congress. The pre-written letter can be sent as is, or edited by you for a more personal touch. Thanks!
