FSRT Advocates for R.T.s

During the 2020 Florida legislative session, the Florida Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control worked to monitor issues that could have resulted in dissolution of the Florida radiologic technology licensure program. Through attention and action, one bill failed upon the legislature’s adjournment that would have added the radiologic technology program to systemic review of occupational regulatory programs and authorize the legislature to take action in sunsetting these programs before the scheduled repeal. Also failing in the state legislature were bills that could have prohibited R.T.s from performing venipuncture.

The FSRT intends to continue efforts of growth and involvement by uniting R.T.s in Florida. Please look for more information in the future and plan to join in!
