Your Voice Matters. Our Collective Voices Create Change.

Welcome to the ASCP Advocacy Center

President Lincoln once said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." That's why uniting ASCP's diverse membership of more than 100,000 pathologists, technologists, technicians, and other laboratory professionals, is such a powerful force for advocacy. As one of the largest medical specialty groups in the world, ASCP is uniquely poised to advocate on its members' behalf.  ASCP members have long been actively helping to shape key federal and state laws and regulations on a myriad of issues such as payment reform, workforce shortages, and other issues affecting the laboratory community and patient care.

To help ensure that federal and state policymakers understand key issues of concern to pathologists and other laboratory professionals, ASCP member must continue to make our collective voice heard, by reaching out to elected officials and regulatory offices so they understand the vital role laboratory professionals play in patient care. Here you will find resources that will help you take action on issues that affect your ability to protect and improve the health of the patients you care for.
