Voice Your Support for Specialized Instructional Support Personnel!

Representatives Johana Hayes (CT-5) & Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) and Senators John Cornyn (TX) & Maggie Hassan (NH) will be introducing resolutions soon to declare the week of April 26th through April 30th, 2021 as National Specialized Instructional Support Personnel Appreciation Week.

More than one million Specialized Instructional Support Personnel (SISP) work in schools across the country, providing school-based prevention and early intervention services to reduce academic, behavioral, and social-emotional barriers to learning. As part of a multidisciplinary education team, SISP consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure positive conditions for learning for all students. These critical personnel allow teachers to focus on educating and help students achieve academic and social success.

Please take a moment to contact your Legislators in the House and ask them to sign on to this resolution and show their appreciation for the great work SISP do in schools
