Surveying Hawaiʻi 2022 Political Candidates' Views on the Current State of Libraries

The HLA Legislative Advocacy Committee sent surveys to the 2022 candidates running for statewide offices to gather their thoughts on important issues that relate to libraries.

The following three questions were asked to all candidates:

What are your thoughts on the decline in the number of School Library Media Specialists (librarians) in public schools?
What are your thoughts on increasing funding for public libraries?
What are your thoughts on the trend of censorship and book banning in school and public libraries?
