Proclaim April Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month

Contact your Governor requesting a formal proclamation for Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month

Each year, the Amputee Coalition designates April as Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month. Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month presents opportunities to educate elected officials and the general public on the composition of and fostering positive outcomes for the limb loss community.

As part of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, we contact every state’s governor asking each one to acknowledge April as Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month through a formal proclamation. This year we are enlisting the limb loss community to assist in these efforts and have all fifty states recognize April as Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month. We are seeking your help because governors want to hear from you, their constituents.

The Coalition is asking you to reach out to your governor and ask him or her to proclaim April Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month.
