The Arc Maryland in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education is pleased to launch the "Together We’re Better" diversity program and contest for students in grades one through twelve. The theme is “Stop Bullying and Show Respect!” The purpose of the contest is to raise awareness of the value and importance of inclusion of students with disabilities in schools and to promote awareness of disabilities and bullying prevention.
About our Competition
The Arc Maryland is sponsoring this annual competition to raise awareness and to celebrate “National Inclusive Schools Week,” December 1-5, 2014! This competition is based on the modules of the "Together We're Better: Celebrating Diversity" awareness program. Each module ends with a group creative project. If your creative project is completed by students with and without disabilities, the project may be eligible for entry in the prestigious Together We’re Better 2014 statewide media competition.
