Effect on CEP

CEP percentage number are based right from the number of Directly Certified students we have. If these students are no longer directly certified, then our CEP could be affected since we will lose those students in our consideration of directly certified students.

Furthermore, funding for Title I Schools will be affected if students are no longer directly certified even if their need is there but they no longer receive those benefits. Currently both the CEP Program and Title I provide benefits to our students that help them be at an equal level of readiness to learn.

When a student has less stress because they know they will be fed at school they are more likely to succeed. A student is even more likely to attend school if they know they will be fed. Taking away the benefits of CEP will not only be harmful to a student's health but also to their ability to succeed in school.
