Sending an e-mail through

Contacting your lawmakers from your home or from the bunk of your sleeper couldn't be any easier with  Here is a quick walk through for a message that's featured on the homepage.

On the homepage, you will see the action alert in the middle (note, it might be one of a few things scrolling across over time).

Click the "Take Action" button to be taken to the next screen.

Here you will find a brief description of the issue and the boxes where you can fill in your name, address, and contact information.  If you check the "Remember Me" box, your browser will safe your info so you won't need to fill it in when you return.  Then just click "Submit."

Finally, there is the message that will go to your lawmakers.  It's pre-drafted, so once you read it over, all you need to do is hit "submit" if you don't want to make any edits.

If you want to personalize the message, modify it just a little, or even scrap the entire message and write your own, the system make it easy.  Just edit the text like you would on an e-mail system.

Once you are done, just hit "submit" at the bottom, and you will recieve confirmation that the message is on its way to your lawmaker.

Again, if you have any questions about using, please send an email to

Thanks again for your help as OOIDA continues to fight for truckers in Washington and across the country.
