As you may know, there is a concern that some individuals exposed to debris and chemicals at the World Trade Center site may have an increased risk of developing multiple myeloma. This September, over fifty legislators introduced bipartisan legislation called the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Reauthorization Act. This legislation would reauthorize two critical programs providing medical treatment and compensation for individuals who have suffered health injuries as a consequence of the attacks on September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP) and the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (CVF). WTCHP and VCF are set to expire in October 2015 and October 2016 respectively, however this legislation would extend these very important programs through 2041. If you would like to request that your representatives or senators support this legislation, please submit your information below and ask them to take action!
