What is Engage?
Engage is an improved political action hub that is replacing Capwiz as the Massachusetts Dental Society's main advocacy tool. The MDS uses Engage to send out action alerts, inform members on ciritical public policy issues, and put our members in contact with their legislators. Most importantly, Engage allows your voice to be heard in Washington.
Why should I use Engage?
Every day new regulations and laws are discussed in the State House that can affect oral health, your patients, and your practice. Being involved in the political process is essential and the MDS strives to provide you with all the tools possible to make dentists better advocates. Engage is both easy and quick to use, visit the Home page now!
How do I use Engage?
MDS members are driven to Engage by action alerts. Members are encouraged to voice their position to their elected officials by writing a letter, sending an email, or making a phone call.
Connect with your lawmakers: Action alerts are sent to MDS members with a pre-drafted letter. Once the member completes the necessary steps, it is submitted electronically to their state lawmaker by matching their address to their respective legislative district.
Track important legislation: Engage features a bill tracking function that allows users to follow important bills throughout the legislative process. This includes a summary of the bill, the sponsor, and the MDS's position.
