Beacon Hill Day 2017
Over 100 members will take to Beacon Hill to lobby their legislators on the issues facing both dentists and dental students. In the past, members discussed electronic health records, dental benefits plans, dental licensure, and much more!
If you aren't able to attend, but would like to get more involved in the discussion, please consider joining the grassroots network!
Wednesday, April 5th, 2017:
Improving oral health in Massachusetts and protecting the dental profession are not spectator sports. The strength of the Massachusetts Dental Society lies in YOU! Our nearly 5,000 members who are on the front lines delivering care every day. We need you to bring your passion, your voices, and your energy to Beacon Hill. Only you can explain the importance of oral health to our legislators!
Morning Issue Briefing:
The MDS governmental affairs team will explain the society's legislative agenda and effective techniques for communicating with legislators. After this briefing you will be prepared to explain the issues facing oral health.
Interaction With Your Legislators:
The Massachusetts Dental Society staff will assist you in scheduling an appointment to meet with legislators in their offices. To schedule your meeting simply complete the registration form, return it to MDS, and someone from our office will begin the process of scheduling your appointment. These meetings will ensure that all legislators hear from their local dentists about the importance of oral health.
Once you have completed your State House visits, please return to the Omni Parker House for lunch and a guest speaker!
