Marijuana Special Interests are Pushing Legislative Riders to Line their Pockets
The billion dollar marijuana industry has taken advantage of Congressional riders in federal spending bills to gain legitimacy, attract investment, and spend millions of dollars to legalize marijuana in other states. The pot industry is even giving campaign contributions to politicians.
Sound familiar? They're following the playbook of Big Tobacco, and the marijuana industry even brags about soliciting money from Big Tobacco in exchange for writing the laws favorably for tobacco companies.
Marijuana riders, like the ones being considered by Congress in the Omnibus Spending Bill that funds the government have provided legal top cover to this industry, and have even served as a smoke screen for massive black market drug operations.
Tell your Representative and Senators to oppose the Rohrabacher/Leahy language in the Omnibus Appropriations Act (H.R. 3354/S. 1662).
