We are the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers founded half a millennium ago by the soldier-turned-mystic Ignatius Loyola. But most people call us "the Jesuits."
The Jesuit Conference relies on a network of citizens like you to give voice to the voiceless on matters of social concern before government and corporate institutions. Together, we advocate by increasing awareness and engaging the nationwide Jesuit network of educational and pastoral ministries on issues such as migration, economic justice, environmental justice, and human rights in Central America.
Jesuit Refugee Service/USA
Jesuit Refugee Service/USA is the major refugee outreach arm of the U.S. Jesuits, mobilizing responses to refugee situations in the U.S. and abroad. Our mission is to accompany, serve and advocate for the rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons and to provide support for the work of JRS throughout the world.
