For the past 25 years, GLSEN has partnered with people like you to change school culture, from the thousands of students and educators who participate in GLSEN’s Day of Silence every year, to our volunteers who spend their time leading GLSEN Chapters and supporting Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs). Through our research and programs we know that supportive policies make lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students feel safer and more affirmed, and increases their chances of staying in school and succeeding. We are excited to launch GLSEN UP, our next step in organizing, mobilization, and creating real social change.
GLSEN UP is a movement of action-takers. We are students, educators, families, faith leaders, and community members who know that we can be effective when we work together, use our voices, and center the experiences of LGBT youth in policy change.
We envision a future where LGBT students feel safe and affirmed at school, and we’re asking you to join us in creating that future today.
