'SUP Registration is now closed. The next 'SUP will begin in early 2017. Stay tuned for details and registration!
We have been so inspired by the new advocates who hopped on the bus with us for actions, hearings, and meetings with their legislators this year that we want to give more people the tools to Speak Up! Join a team of advocates who are dedicated to ending poverty through policy advocacy.
In six free workshops, The Speak Up Project - 'SUP! - will give you the tools to advocate with confidence.
'SUP will prepare advocates to be leaders in the movement to end hunger in the 2016 legislative year -- and beyond! You’ll learn how the California legislative process works, how to tell your story to legislators, how to vote like a pro (and get others to vote, too!), and what the current issues and legislation will be in 2016 and how to advocate for them.
The best part of ‘SUP will be the friendships you’ll build as you become a part of the movement to end hunger in our county and state!
We are looking for people who are committed to attending all six workshops.
Food will be provided.
All workshops are child-friendly!
