Action Alert: Critical Healthcare Vote TODAY
House Passed Monthly Premiums for "Loophole" Families
The House passed the monthly premium for "loophole" children at 1000% above the federal poverty line (family of 4 with income of $250,000). If Act 62 was fully implemented it would save millions of dollars now spent in the Medical Assistance program.Call Your Legislators

Today the Senate will vote on a motion to proceed with debate on health care legislation. This procedure represents the first step in bringing a bill to the floor for a vote. At this point no one knows, not even Senators, what bill will ultimately receive consideration should the motion to proceed move forward. Regardless of which bill comes before the body, we must keep up the pressure to protect Medicaid! The vote is scheduled for this afternoon, so we need all hands on deck to ensure we stop the plan in its tracks. If the motion to proceed passes, the legislation will receive a full vote later this week.
Now is the time to act. Please call your Senators TODAY and urge them to oppose Medicaid cuts and caps and vote NO on the motion to proceed. Without action, Medicaid will cease to exist as we know it and millions will be left without a critical lifeline. Tell your senators to stand up for people with disabilities and vote NO TODAY. Be sure to thank your senators if they have committed to #SaveMedicaid.
