New Jersey has introduced legislation,bill S2649, to provide insurance coverage for amino-acid based elemental formulas to treat eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs), regardless of delivery method. The bill unanimously passed through both the assembly committee and the entire assembly, and is now waiting to be heard by the state's Sentate Commerce Committee. Families in the state of New Jersey may show support of this legislation by contacting their local representatives, and encourage that the bill be scheduled to be heard by the committee as soon as possible.
