About AAFA's Advocacy and Policy Work
Asthma and allergies are among the most prevalent chronic diseases in the United States. As part of our mission to improve life without limitsTM, AAFA supports public policies that improve and protect quality of life and treatment options for those living with asthma, allergies, and related conditions. AAFA addresses clinical and environmental aspects of allergies and asthma. Priority areas include clinical diagnosis, care, treatment and management; outdoor and indoor air quality; and healthy settings (housing, schools, and communities).
